Won Doyeon is already having the worst day of her life when a cockroach turns up in her apartment. Crippled by OCD and mysophobia, she begs a delivery man named Bok Geumho to deal with it — but when she rejects his out-of-nowhere confession of love, he retaliates by throwing more cockroaches inside. In desperation, she turns to an exterminator she finds on a secondhand trading app. Furious and jealous, Geumho sets his sights on the new arrival. Doyeon also reaches out to her estranged father, Won Hyeoksu, who hasn't heard from her in years; he immediately heads to Seoul just to see her. Three men — her father, the exterminator, and Geumho — all end up in the same place for the same reason. Someone dies. From that moment on, a chain of cockroach-linked incidents begins to unravel the dark and fractured history of Doyeon's family, rewriting it in ways no one could have predicted.
