Trauma — the psychological distress triggered when past horrors resurface in the present. For a rare few who carry especially severe trauma, that anguish manifests as supernatural powers. But the more those powers are used, the more they drag their bearers back into painful memories, and those who cannot endure eventually transform into monsters. At a school in Seoul, a rumor spreads: a creature with flowers for a head lurks beneath the underpass behind the building. A group of bullies, intrigued by the story, try to force quiet student Park Do-hyeon into the underpass — until his older sister steps in to stop them. That night, however, Do-hyeon witnesses his sister slipping into the underpass in his place, pressured by the same bullies. He rushes after her, only to watch helplessly as the monster inside claims her life.
