Donghwa grew up on the small, quiet island of Baeokwoldo, where life moved at its own gentle pace. But her grandmother's death brings an unexpected visitor — a grandmother from Seongbuk-dong with an offer that pulls Donghwa into the city and upends everything she knows. The house in Seongbuk-dong is shared by three men: Myeongheon, the youngest, a repeat college-entrance-exam student the same age as her; Jeheon, the middle brother, whose smile reaches his eyes; and Taeheon, the eldest — impeccably proper, strikingly handsome, and quietly intimidating. The grandmother's warning is blunt: "Don't bother dealing with Taeheon. If you're living under the same roof, the best you can do is stay out of his way. He's more than you can handle." True to form, Taeheon wastes no time telling Donghwa to pack her bags.
