Byeongpil has just finished his mandatory military service and can't decide whether to return to the university major he'd never really chosen for himself, or find a different path altogether. Then his older friend Mansu asks him a favor: help find Mansu's missing uncle. With financial support from Mansu's family, the two set off together on an unofficial search. The police ruled it out as a criminal matter and declined to get involved; even a private investigator gave up when the trail went cold. With no prior leads, Byeongpil begins piecing together the uncle's whereabouts through his own legwork. As he digs deeper into the life of a man he'd never given a second thought, he stumbles upon the uncle's struggles, joys, and ideals — and finds himself seeing the world through new eyes. By the end of it all, Byeongpil arrives at a quiet but meaningful answer to the question of what he wants to do with his own life.
