Yoo Dam-deok is a talentless young man scraping by on part-time jobs, bitter about his lot in life. When he vents his frustration at the heavens, he gets struck by lightning and blacks out — only to wake up to a strange status screen floating before his eyes. The message: the gods are hiring. Figuring he has nothing to lose, he signs on. And so begins the unlikely adventure of Yoo Dam-deok, newly minted lowest-tier deity, as he hustles his way through the gods' own version of a part-time job marketplace in pursuit of a total life reversal.
