Now it's the summer of 1999, and the children born the year after the accident have turned eighteen. Once again, the secret hiding in the dark is stirring. A slew of mysterious incidents rocks a small town at the turn of the millennium. A fearless girl and her friends dig into the truth, coming face to face with strange and terrifying creatures — while the adults around them work just as hard to bury it, and the source of it all slowly reveals itself.
