I've been thrown into that very fairy tale, except I haven't landed in Cinderella's shoes. I'm the stepmother. Thirty-seven years old, twice widowed, and now responsible for three daughters of my own. As if that weren't enough to manage, a man named Daniel Wilford keeps finding excuses to get close to me. 'May I kiss you?' he asks. He seems a bit old to be a suitor for any of my girls — so why does he keep coming around? Never mind that for now.
