Dokgo Yeonmi was once beloved by the Cheonma, the supreme lord of all demons — and then abandoned by him. She takes in a baby named Dokgo Cheon, a child whose eyes hold the same depth as the sky itself, and tries to build a quiet life for their small family, free from the Cheonma and the divine order alike. But fate refuses to leave them alone. Yeonmi is thrust into the role of a sacred priestess against her will, and to protect her, Cheon throws himself into the service of that same divine order.
