Of the roughly 900 high school baseball players registered with the Korea High School Baseball Association, fewer than a hundred ever make it to the pros. For Im Seong, a third-year student in his final season, the clock is running out. Three years ago, a batter named Kim Hee-do hit a two-run home run off him in the bottom of the ninth — a moment Im Seong has never forgotten. Now they've crossed paths again, only for Im Seong to discover that Kim Hee-do has just joined the baseball team and is already thinking about quitting. What started as a burning desire to face him again and win gradually shifts into something Im Seong can't quite name — curiosity, a one-sided sense of closeness, a wish to simply know him better. Under the blazing sun of their last high school summer, can both baseball and something more between these two boys hit for the cycle?
