Sinopsis

Seals are beings that look human but possess power far beyond any ordinary person. They slumber in hidden places throughout the world, and when awakened, they receive a name from the one who rouses them — bound to protect that person and no one else. Julitan, a simple cook from a small fishing village, encounters a Seal whose crimson eyes move him to give her a name: Carnelian. The Seal solemnly swears to serve Julitan as her master. But Julitan soon realizes that his unremarkable abilities are no match for Carnelian's extraordinary power. Determined to find her a worthy contractor, he sets off on a long and uncertain journey.
