After her grandmother passes away, Na Su-hyeon leaves the city and returns to her hometown. As if drawn by some invisible force, she climbs Obong Mountain — the very place her grandmother strictly forbade her from ever going. Lost in the woods and suddenly in danger, she is saved by a mysterious man named Seo Mun-ju, who survives even after being decapitated. Mun-ju tells her that she is the reincarnation of Kang Yu-hwa, a shaman who was once like a mother to him, and that the strange events unfolding were triggered the moment she set foot on the mountain. Suspicious of him but unable to ignore her own sense of responsibility, Su-hyeon learns that an evil spirit — the same one that caused Yu-hwa's death — has sensed her presence and desecrated the shaman's grave, unleashing ghosts who now wield stolen ritual artifacts. Together, Su-hyeon and Mun-ju set out to listen to the spirits, recover the five missing artifacts, and put an end to the chaos. But can they defeat the demon, and will Mun-ju finally break the curse of his immortality?
