After six years abroad in England, In-woo returns home only to be greeted by his young wife with a request for a divorce. If that's what she wants, he signs the papers as calmly as he once signed their marriage certificate. They agree to spend one last month together as husband and wife — time enough, he assumes, to quietly sort through the distance that built up between them and go their separate ways. But Song Hae-in, his wife, throws herself into those final weeks with an almost absurdly earnest determination, insisting she made a promise to her late father to always be of help to In-woo and that she won't leave until she's repaid everything she owes him. As the two of them truly face each other for perhaps the first time, the question hangs between them: can they finally reach each other before the time runs out?
