At Jewang High School, students band together into factions, and the bigger a faction grows, the more power its leader holds. Hong-ik has never belonged to any group — he drifts through school doing just enough to avoid being labeled an outcast, but never truly fitting in. Then one day his habitually passive attitude causes a small misunderstanding to spiral out of control, dragging him into a faction showdown with the school toughs. In the heat of the fight, a hidden power awakens in him, and he wins. Even so, most students keep their distance — some dismissive, others unsettled by this unknown force. It's then that a girl named Lee Chaerin approaches him, expresses genuine interest, and suggests they build a faction together. At the same time, the student council begins to take notice of Hong-ik.
