Joseon is crumbling under the assault of demonic spirits known as gwihon, and with a king too weak to act, the people have only one hope: the righteous outlaws of Hwalbin. Gildong, the illegitimate son of Hwalbin's leader Lord Hongmun, forges a bond with a mysterious power called hyeolpae and is reborn as the prophesied Executor destined to save the kingdom.
