Dahlia, a lowly maid raised in a poorhouse, and Isaac, a young lord born out of wedlock — their pull toward each other feels like fate. Isaac, who has lived like a ghost in the estate's guest quarters, begins reaching higher and higher, all for Dahlia's sake. Then, standing before his father's body, he makes his claim: "From this moment on, I am the Duke of Eupgenschldt." The boy Dahlia once knew is gone. In his place stands the new master of a dukedom.
