Synopsis

An ordinary office worker wakes up to find herself transmigrated into a dark novel called Poison Apple — as Giselle Roisvin, a villainess sentenced to hang who is also poisoned to death. But when the assassins arrive with their poison, it doesn't work on her at all — it actually tastes like fruit. She barely has time to process this when she discovers that the eccentric assassin tormenting her, Leniel, is actually a henchman of the story's ultimate villain, Wayne Aiore. Realizing she holds knowledge of that villain's fate, she uses it as leverage — offering to serve as a poison taster, since Wayne is destined to be poisoned — and manages to land a job at Leniel's little shop as a way to survive. It seems like a decent plan, except her new employer turns out to be suspiciously, overwhelmingly powerful. Something tells her this life might be just as doomed as the last.
