Amarion is a knight from a harsh northern kingdom who spends her days fighting monsters. Out of nowhere, she receives a marriage proposal from Grand Duke Mort — a man so feared he is known as "the walking death." The enormous dowry he offers could save her struggling homeland, so she accepts.
