Elizabeth finds herself possessing the body of the dead first love of Ernst, the male lead of a dark, adult-rated novel — and worse, she's an extra who dies at her own wedding at the hands of the rebel Karcis, never even making it into the main story. Desperate to survive, she tries to stop the rebellion, but the damage the original owner of this body left behind is staggering. Not only did she carry on an improper relationship with her loyal "dog" Karcis, she apparently did something truly terrible to him. Overcome with guilt, Elizabeth tries to set him free — but his response stops her cold: "Betrayal isn't allowed.
